Who we are
lasernest.co.uk and LaserNest are run by Cliff Evans, trading as LaserNest, 21 Darnley Avenue, Horfield, Bristol BS7 0BS, United Kingdom. For anything about your data, email cliff@lasernest.co.uk. We are the controller of the personal data described here.
Your drawings are not collected
LaserNest runs in your web browser. The drawings you open and the sheets you nest stay on your own computer – they are never uploaded to us. Your LaserNest settings are stored in your browser.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address and password (stored scrambled) when you register.
- Your subscription: from our reseller Paddle we receive your customer and subscription reference, plan, status and renewal dates. We never see your full card details – Paddle handles payment.
- Using LaserNest: when you open LaserNest or save a sheet, our website checks your subscription and records when, and which browser session, so that one subscription is not shared. Saved files contain your account email in a comment.
- Emails: messages you send us.
- Technical data: our web host keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser and pages visited) for security.
Why we use it
To provide LaserNest and your account (performance of our contract with you), to stop misuse such as shared subscriptions (our legitimate interests), and to keep records the law requires.
Who we share it with
Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record, which processes your payment and is responsible for the payment data it collects under its own privacy notice. Our web hosting company, which stores the website. We do not sell your data.
Cookies
We use the cookies WordPress needs to keep you logged in and to remember your cookie choices. Other cookies are only set if you agree to them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie button on the page.
How long we keep it
We keep your account while it is open, subscription records for as long as the law requires for accounting (usually six years), and server logs for a short time.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or move your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing cliff@lasernest.co.uk. If you are unhappy you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
